USA GP 2019

Monday, November 4th, 2019

“We’ve had a lot of fun races this year and this one is certainly up there. The one-stop was the plan and it looked like others on the two-stop would get close at the end, which made things a bit nervy. We reached our target of beating both McLarens, so that’s really pleasing. It was a strong race and we showed good pace. I enjoyed the battle with Lando [Norris] as I passed him and he passed me back a couple of times at the start and then put some pressure on towards the end. We held on for sixth, so it’s solid points for the team with Nico in the Top 10 as well.”

MEXICAN GP 2019

Monday, October 28th, 2019

“It’s good to be in the points. I could have got more if I had passed Perez but I just couldn’t make it stick. I sent it into Turn 1, maybe a little late and the postman wasn’t there! We made a really strong start on the hard tyre and that set us up for the rest of the race. It’s a solid day with both cars back in the points. It’s been a tough week for the team, so I’m proud of them and how they’ve kept their spirits high. We regrouped quickly and we can be pleased with that, but now we have to move on and keep it up.”

JAPANESE GP 2019

Monday, October 14th, 2019

“I’m very happy for the team today, with both Daniel and I inside the points. We fought all the way, pushed really hard and everything seemed to come together. It was an amazing recovery from this morning where our qualifying wasn’t so good. Personally, I made a great start off the line, passed a few cars at turn one and then pushed on with good track position. From there, it was a fight. The whole second stint we were in traffic and by the end, it was getting hot and tasty out there with everyone’s tyres going off. It was really good fun and I’m pleased with today.”

RUSSIAN GP 2019

Monday, September 30th, 2019

“Unfortunately, our race was pretty much over from the start. I had too much damage on the car to carry on, which is a shame. It was a bit chaotic through Turn 2 and I had the inside line for Turn 4 where I thought I was safe. I got hit and had a puncture and damage to the floor. I’ll look at it with the perspective that if I qualify higher up the grid then I’m less likely to be in the bad stuff. I’ll take responsibility for that,  but in terms of the accident, I was just a passenger”

SINGAPORE GP 2019

Monday, September 23rd, 2019

“It was a long one today and it’s a shame it ended up like that. The start was fun with some good overtakes and getting into a decent position. I gained some confidence there and got into a rhythm. We were ticking every box and really made the most of everyone being bunched up. Then it all came undone with the incident and the puncture meant our race was more or less over. We deserved a better outcome today.”

Stance Welcomes F1 Driver Daniel Ricciardo as its Newest Punk & Poet

Monday, September 9th, 2019

Stance introduces the latest Punks and Poets collection from Australian professional Formula 1 driver, Daniel Ricciardo who has solidified himself as one of the most elite drivers on the grid and earned the nickname, The Honey Badger.

The limited edition collection comprises of one training sock style and one lifestyle sock style, both featuring designs inspired from Ricciardo’s 2019 season helmet. The helmet was designed by British born artist Nicolai Sclater, who works under the name @ornamentalconifer, and the distinctive pink, blue and green design words “stop being them” on one side, Ricciardo’s number three on the other, and his nickname emblazoned on the back.

The training sock, Ricciardo Train ($16 USD), features the striking, asymmetrical color-blocking patterns as seen on his helmet with his number “3” printed on the sides, while the lifestyle sock, Ricciardo ($14 USD), offers a more subtle take on the funky design.

“I chose to highlight the designs of my helmet as a helmet is very personal to a driver and I do see mine as a true expression of myself,” said Daniel Ricciardo. “I wanted the socks to be colorful with a bit of a wow factor, while still keeping it cool and understated. The subtle details such as the lightning bolt throughout and the “Honey Badger” logo against the bright colors work to reflect my style – it’s just me.”

ITALIAN GP 2019

Monday, September 9th, 2019

“We deserved that today. It matches my best ever result here in Monza and to do it with Renault is great. I saw the battles happening at the front and I thought there could be a big opportunity to score strong points. I’m really happy for myself and also for the team. To get the team’s best result since returning to Formula 1 in fourth and fifth at a power circuit really complements Renault and their hard work. The race pace was really good and it’s a nice reward for the team. The result is long overdue this year; I’m very satisfied now!”

BELGIUM GP 2019

Monday, September 2nd, 2019

“Our race was pretty much shaped after the Lap 1, Turn 1 incident. I got hit from behind and had big damage to the floor. We had to pit – I actually thought we might retire the car – but we put the mediums on and the car was a bit of a handful. We kept going, held our place in the top 10, and I thought at one stage we might pick up some points. I was proud to hold on for that long and I know we couldn’t have done anymore. I’m glad today is over; yesterday’s news has been difficult to take. It was tough to be here and put on a brave face, but I’m glad I gave it my best.”

HUNGARIAN GP 2019

Monday, August 5th, 2019

“It was always going to be tough starting at the back of the grid, but there were some positive moments. We made the Hard tyres last well and then had good pace on the Soft tyre towards the end. It was frustrating not to get past Magnussen. I felt he was moving under braking, and I couldn’t do anything. I wasn’t happy about that as we could have progressed even further at the end. There are some positives and the summer break will be good for us. We’ll reset, take some time off, we know we’re in it together and we’ll be targeting a better second-half of the season.”

GERMAN GP 2019

Monday, July 29th, 2019

“We had an exhaust failure today, which caused the retirement. I could see a lot of smoke coming out from the back of the car and that was our day done. It’s certainly a shame. I watched the rest of the race and it looked a lot of fun out there. I would have loved to have been racing as there were opportunities for big points. It’s disappointing but we’ll move on to next week. It’s a tough overall result for the team, but hopefully Hungary will be better for us.”
